Adelanto Christmas Parade...

Saturday was the 5th annual Adelanto Christmas Parade. All of the kids but Julia were in the parade. Jack and Ally were on the Primary float, Gage marched with his school's marching band, and Jeremy was with the Scouts as clean up.
We had to be at the parade early for everyone else so we had to wait a little while for it to start. Julia got anxious so she stood in the street looking down to see if anyone was coming yet ("burpie" in hand as always).

The parade finally started and the first people Julia saw that she knew were the Thomas'. Cari works in our office and Julia loves Cari. Cari was just elected to the Adelanto City Counsel so she got to be in the parade.
Julia was excited to see Cari, but she was also a little confused why she was standing in the back of a truck with her family.
Then came the Primary. All of the kids rode in the decorated trailer singing Christmas songs and eating candy canes.
It was a pretty cold day so all of the kids were bundled up. Ally and Jack enjoyed the ride, and the candy canes.
Riverside Prep was the last marching band in the parade (which lasted two hours) but they were by far the best. Yea Riverside Prep! Gage did a great job! He's the little drummer in the middle.
Ally was excited to snuggle up to her brother after the parade.
Then came the pooper-scoopers. Jeremy didn't do the scooping, he was smart enough to just pull the trash can. Our Scouts didn't march in the parade as a troop with their flags like some of the other troops, our scouts did service for the parade which I think is very cool. It's not as glorious, but it teaches them something to serve instead.
It was fun to have almost all of the kids involved in the parade. Maybe next year Julia can be on the float too so Rich and I can just sit back and watch!

A parade in December! That sounds like so much fun! And your kids are all so cute! I am glad you post lots of pictures on your blog. I think I have only met your kids a few times, so it is fun to have this chance to watch them grow up from so far away!!

Julia is adorable, ,Jeremy is smart- and what fun to do a Christmas parade!! In Lehi we do our parade in June or July, it goes along with Lehi's "Round up" days- The boys love it and get lots of (broken) candy- There are 3 parades 3 days in a row- Jim refused to go to any of them- so my mom and I take the kids and promise we won't do it again the next year!!

Cute pictures!!! Your boys are getting so big!!
