Thanksgiving...

Fall has come to the desert and the kids love it.

Thanksgiving week was very cold so our tree just couldn't hold on to it's leaves but that made it fun for the little ones. We had Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year. We had Janet come, along with my friend Teddy DeCarvahlo and her dad, so it was a small little get together.

Rich was in charge of the turkey again and he made the Maple Bacon Turkey that was such a hit last year. It turned out DELICIOUS! I got to make all of the side dishes except for a Greek spinach dish that Teddy brought. (She's Greek and a former chef). Janet brought the pies and whip cream...Costco style of course.

Usually we go with the heavy paper plates since that is easier and safer with the little kids but this year Rich wanted to use his Grandma Crain's china so it would be like a real Thanksgiving dinner, so we did. We pulled all of it out of the boxes and packing peanuts, washed it up and set the table. Grandma would have been proud. She would always use her china for nice dinners and so did my family so we felt very grown up using it. It worked out well, nothing broke. We had a nice visit with our friends and lots of leftovers to snack on so it was a very nice Thanksgiving.
